Wedding Planning: Part 7
We are just a few months away from your Big Day. Here are some steps you will need to get you through the final touches of your wedding planning! This is a sneak peek of what is offered in our Wedding Guide. To get full access and follow along with us month to month, grab our guide here.
Start putting the invitations together. If you have a full wedding suite with detail cards, RSVP cards, etc., now is the time to start putting them together. You want to send the invites out around 3 months before the wedding. This will give guests time to return the RSVP cards and give you an idea of the final headcount.
Work on seating arrangements for the reception. This may seem small in the grand scheme of the day, but it is crucial to place people together that can mingle with easily and guests feel relaxed. Seating people that don't get along at a table is a recipe for disaster.
Confirm Decor Rentals. If you have ordered additional decor for the wedding, confirm these details to make sure they will arrive in time for the wedding. This is important if you have personalized decor such as card holders, seating charts, welcome signs, etc.
Think about guest book ideas. There are so many great ideas for guest books! We have compiled a few on our next blog! Tips on the Greatest Guide Book.
Order Wedding Bands. Sometimes the wedding bands are an afterthought, and Bride and Grooms find themselves getting bands last minute. If your wedding set did not come with bands, now is the time to order or purchase the wedding band for your partner. You can do this together or create a special moment by having it engraved with something special.
Decide on your exit! This is the biggest OH NO moment I get as a photographer. During my consultation calls with my clients, I always ask about the exit. Sometimes, I hear "I haven't even thought of that." or "I can't decide if we are going to have one or what I would even do." The exit is the final send off from your wedding. Some couples opt out of this, but some couples want a Grand Finale to their wedding day. I, personally, love them! There are a ton of ideas you can do...bubbles, cold sparks, sparklers, lighted wands, etc. It just depends on your style and your preference.
Let me know if you have any ideas and what your plans are for your wedding! Happy Planning!
XOXO,
Lauren
