I am so excited you are here! You can go back and see what we have covered in the previous blogs to get all caught up! If you've been following along, welcome back! Let's dive into week 4! OK!! What do we have planned this month? Let's do a quick overview of what we have on the checklist!
- DRESS SHOPPING!!! This one is my absolute favorite! By now, you have proposed to your bridesmaids! Bring them along, plan a brunch with mimosas! Make it a girl's day! You need all the support you can get when choosing your wedding dress.
- Take your engagement photos! I covered engagement photo style in a previous blog! If you are a client of IRP, you received a Style Guide. If not, you can read some tips on styling your engagement session here.
- It's time! You really want to start pairing down your guest list! Make another draft. Keep in mind your budget. If it means pairing down your guest list a little more to allow for other vendors such as a Day of Coordinator, don't hesitate to do that!
- Meet with your Cake Designer.
- Meet with your Florist.
- Order your stationery, including Save the Dates (if you are using them).
Dress shopping should be fun! You may have to visit a few shops before you decide on THE ONE but stay relaxed and have fun! You only get this time once. Engagement photos are important for several reasons, but the top two reasons are: you will get to meet and work with your photographer for the first time! Getting engagement photos for the Save the Dates is important. These will typically go out pretty soon! Especially if you have out of town guest coming. Keeping your guest list under control is really important. You don't want to feel overwhelmed with the amount of people and you want to make sure that you know them! Don't lose sight of the bigger picture, which is, it's YOUR WEDDING DAY! Meet with your florist to discuss wedding colors and possible blooms that will create the perfect backdrop for your wedding day! This is important because certain blooms may or may not be available during the season you have your wedding booked. Last but not least...ORDER YOUR STATIONERY. Depending on the company, there may be a several week turnaround time on your stationery. You want to make sure you have the Save the Dates in time to send them out to your guests.
I hope these tips helped! Let me know how your planning is going! We will see you next week for Part 5! If you want a copy of our Wedding Guide grab your copy here! It's loaded with bonus content and tips as well as a gratuity guide! Happy Planning!
XOXO,
Lauren
