Wedding Planning: Part 2
We covered Part 1 in a previous blog! If you haven't seen that one yet, go back and read that one and I will meet you back here!
If you've read Part 1, WELCOME BACK! This post is going to cover Month Two of our series, Wedding Planning 101! If you are following along with our Wedding Planner, we are in Month 2. Here is a quick overview of what you should be ready to do this month!
- Book your venue.
- Book your hair and makeup team
- Book Your Photographer and Videographer
- Set up a meeting with your planner if you have hired one.
- Book your caterer.
There's a little more to unpack here than in the previous blog. In our last blog, we discussed setting up venue tours. If you were able to tour the venues last month then you are probably ready to book your venue. That is so exciting! Your venue is the backbone to your wedding and will set the scene for your dream day! If the venue recommended a caterer, set up a meeting with that caterer. If you are sure of them, go ahead and book them! In our area we don't have as many catering companies, so they book up pretty quickly.
In my honest opinion, the hair and makeup team go hand in hand with the photographer. Photographers/Videographers book up quickly during peak wedding season, which can be different depending on where you are from. In our area, we live in Coastal South Carolina, our peak wedding seasons run from March through June and September through November. Photographers, videographers, and hair and makeup book up quickly! Book these vendors as soon as you can. In some cases, they are booked out over a year in advance. I bring up that HAMU and Photographers go hand in hand because THEY DO! You are spending money on a photographer to capture your day, make sure that your pictures look as perfect as they can by hiring a professional makeup and hair team.
If you hired a planner, set up a meeting with your planner to go over all the details that you have in mind for your big day, as well as your budget. Your wedding planner can help you streamline your budget, make recommendations for vendors, and start working on your vision for your wedding day.
Once you have your vendors booked, you should feel much better about the planning process. Now the fun part begins! If you want to grab our planner to help you on this journey, you can grab it here! Happy planning!
I want to hear from you! How is your planning going?
XOXO,
Lauren
